Technology & Functionality

A focused laser beam is directed over the contaminated surface. The contaminant absorbs the laser energy, heats up rapidly, and vaporises or is pulverised — while the underlying substrate reflects most of the energy and remains undamaged.

The process is contact-free, dry, and highly precise: no abrasives, no water, no chemicals.

Our laser systems effectively remove:

We always test on a sample area first to confirm parameters.

With the right combination of power, pulse frequency, scanning speed, and optics we can selectively remove only the coating, leaving the substrate completely intact — ideal for historical monuments, precision moulds, and delicate components.

Sandblasting and dry ice generate noise, dust, CO₂, and often require rework. Chemicals stress the environment and the substrate. Laser cleaning is precise, clean, and safe — especially for sensitive materials.

More important than the base material is the nature of the contamination and the treatment goal. For special applications we always perform a test area first.

No — not with correct parameter settings. We calibrate so that surface temperature remains as low as possible. Structures, patina, and veneer are preserved; only deposits or coatings are removed.

With appropriate parameter settings, the passive layer on stainless steel is preserved and surfaces can be used as normal afterwards. For food and pharmaceutical environments we align our approach with your hygiene and GMP specifications.

Safety & Regulations

Yes. We operate according to a SUVA-compliant safety concept including a Class 4 laser curtain, warning lights, barriers, and full PPE. All required protective equipment is brought on site — no additional laser systems need to be sourced by the client.

A brief test area can be observed from a safe distance with protective goggles. During the main operation, the work zone is cordoned off — no persons or materials may be in the laser perimeter.

Only in public spaces. We handle the site permit, barriers, and laser protection if required — at no extra administrative burden to you.

Depending on the coating, fine particles or vapours can be produced. We use a mobile extraction system with HEPA filtration on site to capture emissions at the source. The workplace remains safe for all persons outside the safety perimeter.

Both options are available. Our equipment is fully mobile — we come to your location across all of French-speaking Switzerland (Romandie): Geneva, Lausanne, Fribourg, Neuchâtel, and Valais. Smaller parts can alternatively be brought to our workshop.
